Lunching out at Kahurangi Estate

Well, my suitcase is repacked as after class tomorrow morning I will be heading off to the airport to move on to Wellington. My two weeks here at Stillpoint have been terrific -- the yoga classes exceptional and have met some great people and had some great laughs. My horse riding injury set me back but also allowed me to slow down and to test myself at a different level. I look forward to tomorrow morning's class and will dedicate my practice to all the people and events in my life that have allowed me to take this trip at this point in my life.

Today after practice we decided to go for lunch at one of local vineyards, Kahurangi Estate. We got in Sarah's car and headed out listening to Marvin Gaye with the sun shining and the windows open letting in a lovely breeze.

We found a nice table on the patio at the vineyard's cafe. I ordered the seared lamb salad with asian dressing and crispy noodles (accompanied, of course, by a glass of Kahurangi Estate savvie. The lamb was lovely and tender, very rare as I like it, and the dressing was slighly spicy. Unfortunately you cannot taste it but I do have a picture of it so you can look at it...

After our meal and relaxing for a bit, Hadie and I walked back to Stillpoint while the others drove back in the car. It was a nice long walk so got some good exercise.

Tonight Tamako made green curry with tofu, beans and carrots and we ate together and had some good conversation and some good laughs.

Time to move on though. Further adventures to be had on the north island. Stay tuned.
